Only buy from retailers and make sure that none of that money goes to Microsoft, this year in particular they have been crooks with the controllers gimmicks they have got going on, and the warranties crap because they 'know' it. Buy retailers. Buy extended warranty from them. Replace the crappy poorly made Xbox one controllers in 3 months when they inevitably break.

Lower the price or increase the quality of the inner mechanics, or people will get wise, do not treat loyalists like fools, that has historically 'never' ended well. You all have college degrees at Microsoft, you've read books, you know what I'm talking about.

This wouldn't address most stick drift issues guys, as sad as I am to say that. The stick drift on Xbox one controllers comes because of physical deterioration of the plastic joystick housings and moving parts on the inside of the controller in most cases. It's just cheaper manufacturing then last generations, whoever they struck a deal with at their factories just uses cheaper quality parts, point blank. They must address this or I will continue to buy third party EVEN if it costs $200, because it won't break on you in 4 months, so its actually still more worth it

It should either be less expensive, or the inner parts should also be made of metal then the price tag would be justified because it would not break, but since they won't do that, they should AT LEAST extend the warranty, or at a bare minimum have an option to purchase a lifetime warranty plan for the elite....for that much money? Everything respectable has a better warranty to cover it, otherwise...is it really that reputable? Can't hold up for more than 3 months eh? Why buy?

I absolutely agree, you can do that with a PC...so why wouldn't you be able to? Are they trying to get us not to buy Xboxes? from an engineering and design point of view it is just lazy and there really is no adult excuse.

Absolutely agree, getting stick drift on my left stick just over 3 months in, I've researched and realized the components used to make the joystick housings are all plastic in this years controllers, opposed to metal and copper from last generations, if you're using mostly plastic components, you're giving us cheap toys, surely you can drop the price, or increase the warranty period...they knew they would break in 3 or so months, that's why its not covered, and it's a shame because Id like to buy controllers online or from the xbox design lab but they offer no extended warranty plans, and I refuse to drop 79.99 on a new controller or give one as a gift when I know as an adult they were manufactured to be faulty
