2015 was another great year for Xbox thanks to your continued passion for and dedication to improving the Xbox gaming experience by posting ideas and casting votes on Feedback each and every day. While Team Xbox looks forward to reviewing and implementing even more of your great ideas throughout the coming months, now seems like as good a time as ever to reflect on the suggestions the Xbox Community helped put into motion this year.
Thanks to a total of 653,517 active users posting and voting on feedback in 2015, we delivered over 200 requested features across a wide range of categories. Some of our most recent work included November’s launch of the New Xbox One Experience (NXOE), which incorporated feedback.xbox.com suggestions for a redesigned user interface (UI), Backward Compatibility with the Xbox 360 and the addition of Ease of Access features.
November wasn’t the only big month for the Xbox One, however, as our teams kept busy working on a variety of social- and entertainment-based improvements. For example, March and April saw the completion of Take a screenshot when we want and Improve Achievement Notifications, which sported a combined 7,813 votes, and May greeted Xbox users with the ability to Add Audio/Video Message and Not Only Text Message. Then, alongside this summer’s Windows 10 release, one of your suggestions helped fuel streaming Xbox One games to Windows 10 PCs via a home network.
While you don’t have to look very far to see where your feedback is coming into play, here’s just a handful of some other neat things you helped create:
- Tile Transparency
- Make Tile Transparency Optional
- Hauppauge Digital TV Tuner for Xbox One
- Make Downloadable Content (DLC or Add-Ons) for Xbox 360 games compatible with Xbox One
- Xbox One Chatpad
- Increase the max size of an Xbox One party beyond 8
