Add on-screen indicator that shows who is talking in party

Add on-screen indicator who is talking in party. The feature will have options to set on one of 4 corners or disabled. It will only add a gamertag name on transparent background when person is talking as in many games, so it will be no more needed to have snapped party app when you don't know party member's voices.

Now when you join a party, the parties overlay will show you who in the party is speaking! Press the Xbox button to go to the quick menu, then go to the Parties section. Underneath your list of friends to invite, you’ll see a switch to turn on Party overlay. After you turn Party overlay on, you’ll choose a location for your overlay. Once completed, anyone talking in your party will appear in the overlay! More details here:

This will be completed sometime soon. Currently the Xbox Insiders Alpha member have the update. You should be getting in within the next few months

This has actually been added in with the latest preview update!
its called party overlay and the option will appear in the party controls when you are in a party.
This is the best update so far, been waiting for something like this since they got rid of being able to snap party chat.
Especially usefull since they added LFG into xbox one and you hear lots of voices youre not used to.

This feature is a MUST. Especially if you are in a party chat with people you don't know very well...or not at all (I know I have). It would help you associate a voice with a gamertag and easily distinguish between voices to tell who is talking.

Obviously, as mentioned above, it would be an optional (and useful) feature.

Why haven't more people voted for this?

This is big in tactical games like Rainbow 6 Siege, would really help if we had some kind of player indicator without having to switch to game chat

Make one that is in game (on bottom of screen or top of screen) so that you don't get confused who's talking right in the middle of a online game. It also makes youtube videos easier especially when everybody is talking at the same time or if everybody sounds the same

Wow! I am surprised this hasn't been implemented yet. In a gaming community with a lot of new members coming in, it can take WEEKS to get everyone's voices matched up to the gamertag by ear, since so many can sound like each other. We want to know who's talking to us! Who's saying "Goodnight, great games, guys!" "Hey, there's a guy with rockets over here!!!" !

Make this available on any game that is being play or app that is being used. With options to turn off the voice notifications.

Extremely useful especially when you dont know everyone in the party to have some sort of indicator of whos talking!

Just the name of the person in a corner (ideally a customizable spot) of the person who started speaking most recently
