Metal Gear (Japanese: メタルギア? Hepburn: Metaru Gia) is a series of action-adventure stealth video games, created by Hideo Kojima and developed and published by Konami. The first game, Metal Gear, was released in 1987 for the MSX home computer architecture. The player takes control of a special forces operative (usually either Solid Snake or Big Boss), who is assigned to find the titular superweapon "Metal Gear", a bipedal walking tank with the ability to launch nuclear weapons. Several sequels have been released for multiple consoles, which have expanded the original game's plot adding characters opposing and supporting Snake, while there have also been a few prequels exploring the origins of the Metal Gear and recurring characters.
Other notable traits are cinematic cutscenes, intricate storylines, offbeat and fourth wall humor, and exploration of political and philosophical themes, with references to Hollywood films to add flavor. As of March 2015, 41.2 million copies of the game franchise have been sold worldwide, with individual installments having been critically and commercially acclaimed and having received several awards. The franchise has also been adapted into other media such as comics, novels, and drama CDs. Snake also appeared as a guest character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

You do realise half of these were playstation exclusive and without Kojimas consent these wont be back compat considering he wrote the story line ect. hd collection had 2-3 peacewalker mg 1 and mg2 thats the best we can hope for mgs1 wont be remade due to kojima an hayter not talking if it is wont be the same as the first not the sfx atleast
A lot of fans would love to be able to play the series on Xbox One so this really needs to happen. Its one of the greatest series of all time!
It's not happening. There are deals in place with Sony on many of them. If there's a remake then you've got a shot, and you certainly have a shot at V and the ones previously released on Xbox on game Pass, but that's it.
Why are you posting this on a microsoft forum thats not there job ask konami the only hope for metal gear solid is if they added the hd collection to backwards compatibility which is possible microsoft added other konami games
Neeeeevvvvvver gonna happen.
While we are at it, I'd like all the PS final fantasy games

Seems like a sweet deal if they can make it

This is NEVER going to happen. Metal Gear is a Konami owned IP and Konami are more interested in making Pachinko machines and running fitness clubs in Japan than making games anymore.
