All Avatar items wearable by everyone
My issue today is the sexism in the marketplace. i recently created an Xbox account and placed 25$ in the account. I purchased a couple games and had money left over, so I decided to buy some avatar costumes. I logged into my husbands account (with his permission of course) because he is a gold holder, and i am not. while browsing some props and costumes, i came across a few i really liked. (a jack skelington costume and a zero dog prop.) i decided to purchase them with my remaining funds, so i logged into my own personal account and went back to the Disney Avatar section. But then i noticed something particularly disturbing. As a Female gamer, it is not possible to buy the costume i wanted. I could buy a Sally costume. But not Jack. And granted, its not a serious problem, nor is it technically relevant. But it IS sexist. i am a woman, and i wanted to dress my avatar as Jack. and its not just Jack. Guys cannot dress as princess bubblegum from adventure time or korra from The Legend Of Korra. Im not sure if it is intentional, or an oversight on Xbox's behalf, but in this day and age, with -Isms being dangerous, touchy subjects, it is a dangerous game that Xbox is playing.
[Mod edit: Title changed from "Avatar separation" to reflect the idea of Avatar props and costumes being available regardless of gender.]
[Mod edit: This idea was merged with a similar post from +xTouchMyWii. Thanks, everyone!]

The problem here is probably less them being sexist and more having to create two different models for each body type. I don't know if the Avatar mesh is different for each gender, but it probably is.
how did this get 605 votes?
My gender is not binary. I consider myself "genderqueer" being outside the male or female presentation. I was born male, but wear dresses, skirts, high heel shoes, makeup, carry a purse, and have long glorious hair that I have spent many years growing. I now live 99% feminine in my presentation. I shop at the grocery in heels, I go bowling in dresses and leggings, and see all my medical specialists with a perfect contour. The last remaining masculine presentation of me, is my Xbox avatar. I just found out my insurance will cover my facial hair removal, and Xbox live has no way of allowing my character to wear the same clothes I wear to buy their games. Thanks for bringing this up.

I just came by to say that King Trump is here and next the wall will be here, then after the "Great Wall of Trump" we can say "You're Fired" to the Muslims (aka Terrorist), the Illegals (aka the ingrates) and say a HUGE FU to the Feminazis (aka Feminist). Also your idea reminds me of a HUGE crap I took last night, when I got done and looked at it I thought (it looks like Hillary is trying to run from the FBI
I never understood why a digital person needed "men's" clothing and "women's" clothing...

I just want to by " Punk Hair- Green" but I can't because it's labeled as a "men's" style.
It's not though! Lots of girls have this haircut!

I couldn't agree more!
As a female gamer and a sports enthusiast, I find it SEXIST that I am not allowed to purchase jerseys of my favorite teams in the Xbox market place for my avatar. My husband can. Can something please be done about this???? It's not fair!! I should be able to dress my avatar the way I want!! I can buy a cap, why not a jersey like the guys can??
I am in the military but the options for female military clothing are severely limited compared to the male options. Its not very fair.
I would love the ability to make a transgendered avatar. I am physically male but I'd love to be able to dress my avatar up any way I choose (including dresses and makeup.) I think it'd be more inclusive to allow items to be swapped between genders.

Just wanted my female avatar to wear a trench coat. Find out that only one trench coat item exists, and guess what? It's for men only. =/ Come on, Microsoft, gender restrictions on some of these items don't even make sense... Lift the gender restrictions, please!
My boss is cross gender & a xb1 gamer u got my vote.
